From exquisite cape saree to paler hues to Benarsi skirts and safas and rich jade greens and indigos, Sabyasachi’s Spring Couture ’17 Udaipur Collection is exceptionally drool worthy and as elegant as ever.
The design maven told Vogue India about the inspiration behind the collection. He said, "Whether the maharanis in their French chiffon with European flora and fauna print, the maharajas in their quiet arrogance, the exuberant interiors of their majestic palaces, their culture, traditions of clothing, their often eclectic tastes in luxury, all of those notions and insinuations come to life with my creative liberty in the Udaipur collection."
The collection was debuted with all the beauty and grandeur in a very new age manner on Instagram on 26th February at 9 pm. The backdrop of the collection is the Taj Lake Palace of Udaipur soaking in the old world charm in the most exquisite way possible.
The Udaipur Collection featured jewellery from ‘Kishandas For Sabyasachi’.
His collection includes ‘Sheesh Mahal’ line, plunging necklines, vintage prints and delicate embroidery in beautiful soft pastels hue, beige and ivory base with gold and pastel appliqué work , the sheer hand embroidered tulle and brocade sarees with velvet blouses in the most striking colors, The Udaipur Lehenga.
