Love has no age bar...but apparently Marriages do !
Yes its true, there actually is a sweet spot for getting hitched and not ending up divorced!
Who doesn’t hate the endless enquiries about your love life and when you’re going to settle down from the family and friends as soon as you touch 25 or even before!!
But according to a research conducted at the University of Utah and published by the Institute of Family Studies, the best age to get married is between 28 and 32 years of age, if you want to decrease your chances of getting divorced within your first five years of marriage.
Relationship studies and scientific evidence have; in general, pointed to the idea that waiting longer leads to more stability and maturity. Nick Wolfinger, a sociologist at the University of Utah, took data from the 2006-2010 and 2011-2013 National Survey of Family Growth and found a pattern that looks like a “U.” ,top left of the U as your childhood years and the top right of the U as your senior years. The bottom part of that “U” is the sweet spot-like 28-32 range.
But we believe these researches just help us stay out of the divorce courts and are just a few guidelines which can be taken with a pinch of salt. Believe it or not, there is another research which has pointed to 45-49 as being the best age to say “I do.”
or to comment.
